- My suburb isn't listed, can you still help me?
If I already have a booking in a nearby suburb I would be happy to. If I can't help I can recommend other professional pet carers who may be able to help.
- My pet cant be left alone at all, can they stay at your house?
I have a small yard and already have my own dog - so unless your dog is small and house trained generally the answer is no. I can however recommend others who can help. Alternativly I am happy to house sit so you're pet stays at home and has company for most of the day.
- Can you give my dog a treat to keep them busy after walking my dog?
Yes, just leave out what treats you want given or tell me in advance what treats your dog likes and I can provide them at cost price.
- Do you walk in the rain, or on very hot days?
I will still walk dogs in the rain or on hot days if you would like. I only will not walk dogs if there is a thunder storm or extreme heat as these situations are not safe for the dog or myself.
- What happens if my pet has a medical condition or becomes sick?
At my initial visit I take down all details regarding your pets care requirements, special needs or medication. I also take down your emergency contact details and your prefered vet. If your pet becomes sick I will attempt to contact you first, if uncontactable I will take your pet to your vet.
- What safety measures do you take with my pet while in your care?
I follow your instructions to the letter. All pets in my care wear an ID tag with my details on it. I take thorough notes at our initial meeting including your pets needs, your vet and emergency contact numbers.
- Will you give me a discount?
I offer discount rates for bookings of 2 weeks or more. Also for regular dog walking bookings of 3 days or more per week. I also offer special rates for Green Point residents as this is where I am based and my travel costs are lower.
- Can I meet you before I book you?
Yes, I offer a free initial visit so you can meet me, view my references, certification and so your pets can get to know me.
- What payment methods do you accept?
Cash, Cheque or Direct Deposit are accepted.
For dog walking, payment is required at the end of each week. For pet minding/house sitting full payment is required up front - no accounts sorry.
- Do you charge more on public holidays or sundays?
The only days of the year I have a surcharge is Christmas day which incurs a $15 surcharge.
- Do you have references & police clearance?
Yes, all references and certification are provided at our initial meeting.
